The King of the world wanted you for His bride since before the beginning of time.
The God of Heaven, creator of Earth – who breathed the stars in the skies
is jealous for you, will not do without you – so He gave up His life.
He longs for you – to be of His blood, His heartbeat, His lover, His all
So much, in fact, that He sees not one blemish, but beauty and looks in awe.
His gaze knows your true identity – no man on Earth can taint
He left His throne and shed His blood for you to know true love,
an oh so passionate flame.
May your heart long for Him – may you seek & behold
this treasure worth more than gold.
this peace, this joy, this goodness – the fairytale is yours.
Identity in God is a practice my heart is desperate to cling to because this world is SO distracting!
God has given us so many gifts. He took the first step sacrificing it ALL and loved us first. We receive infinite blessings for our dedication and bravery to walk in faith.
“God so loved the world (loving us first) that He gave His only son (pursuing us) that who so ever believed in Him (faith) would not perish, but have eternal life.” ~John 3:16
Don’t glaze over that verse – it may be slightly overused, but it is the hinge that our door of eternal life opens (or closes) upon. Belief in Jesus and daily acknowledgment of His Sovereignty is our lifeline to eternal life.
The fairytale longing in every woman’s heart is ALWAYS THERE – years after we’ve stopped obsessing over Disney Princesses. Our creator lovingly sculpted a mold in the deepest part of our soul that only He can fill. He desires us SO greatly that He wants to be the only one that brings us true joy, peace, true fulfillment. Nothing else will satisfy. If we turn to this world to fill our hearts, then we will NEVER receive the fullness of God – which is “more than we could ask or imagine.”
From Paul’s Prayer to the Ephesians – one of my favs:
“14… for this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of His love, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Faith is literally all we have. And God is all there is.
Think of the most amazing and beautiful place in the world. Is it in the mountains? The South of France? A hillside in Ireland? No matter where, pick somewhere that resonates with you. Now in the center, imagine a mighty and majestic castle with royal flags waving in crisp winds and guards with platoons of armies ready at the blast of a horn.
Now go inside & imagine the King’s throne room – with ornate detail and astonishing expanse as you pass though seemingly unending hallways leading to the ruler of the universe. This is our father and this is your home. The custom-fit crown on your head is more esteemed than the highest of high fashion, more precious than any gemstone, and exponentially more valuable than we can imagine.
Hope for Heaven is a daily reward for having faith. Faith in God is deserving of that hope & that truth, because we believe without 100% certainty. God has given us just enough guidance and truth, but when it comes to the step of faith, the ball is in our court. There are many reasons we could choose to reject this faith, and there are definitely people (and unseen powers) rooting for us to fall into unbelief. But God promised us a great reward, and every other one of His promises have come true.
Many people feel that God loves them conditionally – based on works, or being a “good person.” But the Bible teaches that God loves us perfectly & UNconditionally. His perfect love is not based on our actions or anything except Himself (1 John 4:8). He always loves us, but often we don’t receive His love because of guilt about our sinful nature. We are supposed to be conscious and aware of God’s love and put faith in it.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight or appearance” ~2 Corinthians 5:7
This world may entice us with temporary possessions but we need to keep our perspective sharp. God is the ONLY source of life. He is the KING!
With God as our eternal father, we can live life rich in His love & fatherly goodness.
Whatever your struggle may be, say anxiety, stress, addiction, or domestic troubles – when you start to doubt your worth or say you’re not good enough or not __ enough, just remember that no one but the one who CREATED YOU can tell you your worth.
A little Prayer inspiration:
“Thank you Jesus for this amazing gift of life. Every day, hour & prayer of your 33 years on earth was for us – the human race that yelled “crucify Him!” Thank you that we are eternally Royal – daughters & sons of the almighty King. WHAT GRACE?! No one is like you. Your name is above all names. Make it my sole focus that I get to live eternally with you, my first love, in paradise which far exceeds anything on earth. Grant me the gift of faith, because your word says I am made new & loved more than I know.”
“God’s very own possession… We can show others the goodness of God, for He called us out of the darkness into his wonderful light. Once we had no identity as a people; now we are God’s people. Once we received no mercy; now we have received God’s mercy.” Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls.”
1 Peter 2:9-11
Take the hope of Heaven and the presence of a perfect father with you, this is your new identity. You are eternal royalty.
We are worthy, valuable, beautiful, and loved not because of what we do or how we look, but because of who we intrinsically are. Our true identity lies in knowing that we are loved by God – the almighty King who created the universe. Each of us has a specific job to do, a specific thread in God’s tapestry. Don’t be afraid to challenge the messages that this world yells at you, and listen to God’s loving voice. He is the only perfect being, none of us will ever achieve it. So love what you’ve got – every part of you is treasured. In the valley, He’s grooming your faith to be strong – on the mountain top, He’s showering you with His presence and goodness.
So accept everything as it comes and never forget, you are exquisite.
