Is there something in your life that plagues you? Your vice… The cross you have to bear… There will always be that thing that tries to take you down… But those are all things that give God the opportunity to redeem and make them new – aka – different and hopeful and easier to deal with than they ever were before.
I had this realization after educating myself on how I can overcome my anxiety. I’ve been used to feeling defeated & afraid, but with therapy & Jesus (that should totally be on a tshirt…), I’m throwing my shoulders back & marching through the face of my fears – so when anxiety tries to tempt me to retreat with old memories of defeat, I remember that God has made me new. Everyday he makes me new. My anxiety has no business making me feel small or helpless when the God of all the universe has already restored me from the inside out.
Chapter heading, “Ambassadors for Christ“
…16 “So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away.Behold, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…”
